Lake Elsinore Wedding Photos | Lake Elsinore, CA Photographer | Dan & Rachel

This intimate Lake Elsinore sunset wedding was such an honor to be a small part of!

Dan and Rachel met in a high school study hall class and while playing a game with mutual friends, Dan accidentally broke Rachel’s hand! Ever since then, these two have been best friends.

Surrounded by immediate family and a handful of close friends, Dan and Rachel said their own personal vows to each other lake side in the yard of one of the most beautiful houses I’ve ever seen. Dan’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time will forever be one of my favorite reactions to date. The genuine happiness that spread across his face and the stream of tears that fell immediately upon seeing his best friend walking towards him was priceless. Not a single eye was dry at this ceremony and you can bet I’m tearing up again as I write this just thinking about how beautiful it was!

The beautiful custom flower crown Rachel wore and the simplistic bouquets and floral arrangements adorning the tables were all created by the beautiful bride herself the morning of the wedding. With romantic twinkling lights hung all over the yard by Dan, his brothers and the fathers, these two danced the night away under the stars to some of their best friends singing a romantic duet and playing guitar together.

Dan and Rachel – wherever God takes you on this wild ride of life, I hope that it is as full of so much love and joy! Congratulations, you two! Love you guys!

This wedding day is one of my favorites to date!

Paige and Garrett met online just about 2 years ago and after their first date at AppleBee’s, they knew their fairytale had begun! These two have been inseparable ever since the day they met and their love is so true and beautiful.

Garrett proposed to Paige in such a romantic and creative way – he got her off work and sent her on a special scavenger hunt using letters listing all the things he loves about her! At the final location, he was waiting for her with roses, a handmade ring box and a custom made, one of a kind ring specially designed just for her! *swoon* I was even so lucky to be in on the secret and helped Garrett plan a surprise engagement photo session for these two at the Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve shortly after their engagement! Now if that proposal doesn’t sound amazing enough, wait till you see a peak at their wedding! Their wedding day was absolutely PERFECT!!

Paige and Garrett got married at the beautiful Holiday Acres Resort in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The day was spent surrounded by amazing friends and family! One of my absolute favorite things about this wedding is all the attention to detail that these two incorporated into their day. All of the photos displayed from the entirety of they relationship, their baby bonnets as each others handkerchiefs and the romantic album Paige made for Garrett were all AMAZING but my very favorite detail? All of the petals the flower girls tossed were saved and pressed from every bouquet of flowers Garrett gave to Paige since day one!! HOW ROMANTIC IS THAT?!?!

Paige and Garrett – it has been such an honor to be a part of your love story and I am so incredibly blessed to have such amazing clients and friends like you guys! I wish you guys all the best in your life together and cannot wait to see what God has in store for you next! Congratulations, lovebirds!!

(And a special thank you to my good friend and fellow photographer, Christina, for tagging along to assist and photograph with me!)

Glendale Lakes Golf Club Wedding Photos| Chicago, IL | Staci & Scott

Staci and Scott are MARRIED!

Staci and Scott met through a synchronized swimming group at Huntington University in Indiana. Soon after, they fell in love and Scott proposed to her by taking her to her favorite restaurant (Olive Garden!) for dinner and back to the decorated University auditorium to pop the question!

Their wedding day began with Staci getting ready at her beautiful family home. We then traveled to Faith Christian Reformed Church for their ceremony, followed by photos and a gorgeous rustic themed reception at the Glendale Lakes Golf Club. The floral designs by Signature Creations and Prestige Floral Studio were absolutely breathtaking and Sounds Abound Entertainment kept the celebrations going all night! Staci and Scott’s whole day was filled with friends, family, smiles, and so much joy!

I have been so looking forward to sharing this wedding with you all – I’ve known Staci my whole life and it was such an incredible honor to get to know her and Scott better as a couple through their planning process, engagement session and to be a part of their wedding day. The love that Staci and Scott have for each other is obvious and they are just as sweet as can be! Congratulations to the happy couple!

Genevieve & Jason | Married

I have been looking forward to Genevieve and Jason’s wedding day for a long time and can’t wait to share their pictures! Genevieve and Jason are such a sweet couple with so much love for each other, God, their families and friends. Their wedding was beach themed with gorgeous blue and coral tones throughout. After their ceremony at the Twin Towers Chapel, we spent some time at Lake Katherine taking photos. The Belvedere Chateau was such a dreamy landscape for their reception! Throughout their whole day, there were non-stop smiles and it is so very clear how in love they are just from the way they look at each other (don’t believe me? check out the photos!). I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of Genevieve and Jason’s special day and I am so excited to see what the future holds for them! Enjoy the pictures 🙂

Changes & Transitions!

Hey, everyone!!

In my last post, I mentioned some changes in my life as well as new things happening to BTP that I am SO excited to finally share with you all here!

One of the biggest and most exciting changes occurred August 1, 2015 – the day I finally got to marry my best friend, Mike! Little back story…

Mike and I met through a mutual friend (thanks Jamal!!) at a homecoming dance back in high school in January 2009. Not long after the dance, he invited me to an afternoon snack of chips and salsa at a nearby Chipotle after school, which, ended up being a bit awkward and hilarious because he had cilantro in his teeth the whole time and I was too scared to tell him….(but see? now I have a funny story to tell you all and he married me anyway so it worked out!) After that – what we actually call our first date – he took me for ice cream after classes and taught (or tried to teach) me how to play chess. He snuck a stuffed animal lion (which we named Stanley) into my locker for Valentine’s Day, we began hanging out a lot more often, went to prom together, etc. Then, one very stormy night in October, he made a surprise visit home from college to see me and, while drinking 7-11 slushies under a tree in the park, he asked me to be his girlfriend and it was the best day ever (ya know, until everyday after that that I got to call him mine and then 7 years of long distance later finally marry him)!

Here’s a picture of the baby version of us from the year we met! This was at his senior prom 🙂

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day and we were surrounded by all our amazing family and friends. Everything was very classic, romantic and WONDERFULLY captured by the talented Dana Ann Photo and Video! It was the most perfect day!!

(All of the above photos were taken by Dana Ann Photography in the incredibly GORGEOUS Morton Arboretum!)

Our wedding was then followed by an amazing SURPRISE honeymoon to Cancun! Yup, you heard it! Mike planned the whole honeymoon and kept it a compete secret until our wedding night! Told you he’s the best!! We swam with dolphins, zip-lined and rode ATV’s through the jungle, saw Mayan ruins and so much more!

Being married is wonderful and I have the best husband ever! I am so lucky to wake up to him every morning and go to sleep with him at night. God really knew what He was doing when He put this man in my life! He loves me for who I am, brings me coffee in bed every morning and always encourages me to follow my dreams.

And now, I get to help him follow his dreams too! Mike is an engineer and began working in Los Angeles, California in 2013. After our wedding in August, I moved to LA to be with him on this journey to see where this job takes him! Now that being said, this move also means that BTP has moved to Los Angeles (but don’t worry, Chicago, I’ll be back to visit often)!! It has been a fun journey so far and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for us and for BTP!

Since the move from Chicago to LA, BTP has received a complete face lift all thanks to a wonderful graphic designer and friend, Kevin Synoga of Synoga Design! I am SO excited that the site is officially complete and for you all to see the fresh new changes – an updated logo, website design and all sorts of fun goodies and products for future clients!

I look forward to sharing more of this journey with you all in the coming weeks, watching BTP grow in a new location and meeting some new faces! Feel free to connect with me right here, through the website “Inquiry” page, or send me an email at! I can’t wait to meet you!

Until next time!
